Elis qualified from the University of Swansea with a Masters (Hons) in Osteopathy in 2022 and joined the Agile team in 2023.

Elis’ interest in osteopathy began after being treated for chronic work related low back pain by an osteopath. After receiving treatment Elis was amazed by the results and personalised pain management advice that was tailored to his lifestyle.

Elis’s own experience with an osteopath helped shape and inform his approach to how all patients should be treated. While working with his patients Elis takes a supportive and caring approach and emphasises the importance of building a healthy understanding of your pain. Elis strongly believes in ensuring treatment and rehabilitation is delivered in a manner that is understandable, manageable and best suits your needs.

Elis takes a structural approach to determine the root cause of your pain and can provide a variety of techniques (massage, mobilisation, manipulation, muscle energy techniques) to improve your tissue health and address the root cause. As Elis hopes to empower you to manage and overcome your pain he will also provide you with at home exercises which are tailored to address your injuries.

Elis has treated a wide array of conditions and worked alongside patients of all ages. While studying at Swansea University, he worked with a local rugby team by providing pitch-side first aid and follow-up treatments. This experience granted the opportunity to work with patients suffering with both acute and chronic conditions. While working with the team he provided advice and treatment to optimise their recovery process and how to best mitigate recurring injuries while playing. Elis has a particular interest for treating back and shoulder pain for patients of all ages and varying activity levels.

Overall Elis takes a straightforward and understandable approach to treatment and delivers it in a supportive and caring manner. He tailors his treatments for all your musculoskeletal pains/strains in a manner that best suits you and your lifestyle.

Personally Elis leads an active lifestyle and regularly takes part in surfing, kayaking and attends the gym daily. His active lifestyle also informs his approach to treatment, as he strongly believes an active lifestyle can empower patients to take control of their mental and physical health.
